Airsoft Battery?
I just bought an airsoft battery and now I need to charge it. It’s been charging for 6 hours already!!! Its a 9.6 V, when will it be done????????
How long is a piece of string?
To figure out how long it takes to charge a battery, you need to know a few figures… the mAh rating of your battery, the output of the charger (in mA). You also need to know what type of battery it is – NiMH of NiCad.
For NiCad batteries:
(Battery mAh / Charger output) X 1.4
For NiMH batteries:
(Battery mAh / Charger output) X 1.5
The answer is the amount of hours it takes to charge.
For example:
I have a 1100 mAh NiMH battery and a charger with an output of 180mA.
That gives us (1100/180) X 1.5 = 9.16666 hours (or approx 9 hours and 10 mins)
The V rating of your battery doesn’t matter as long as the charger’s output V is equal to or higher than the battery’s rating.
