Some tips for male eye lash health?
Hi All,
Here’s the need to know;
I am male.
I do want to take better care of my eyelashes, but do not want to use horribly expensive and/or prescription products to do so.
I have recently heard of using Castor Oil and/or Olive Oil (in an equal part mixture) to aide in the regrowth of them. What are your thoughts?
While on the topic, I do like wearing mascara. I have worn it well over the past year (and would like to continue wearing it). However, I need to get a new mascara. I need help in choosing one, and so, am going to ask you fine people for advice.
Here are my stipulations;
I don’t necessarily want longer lashes. I do not need ‘stiletto’ length.
I want them to be thicker, and I want greater definition.
I have black lashes, and need the new product to match my shade.
I hope that you can help, and I hope that I do not get lambasted by 1000 “OMG, that’s so gay…” replies. For those that actually take the time out to assist me, thank you kindly.
Make a home made lash conditioner by yourself..
Plz plz plz follow the exact routine she says…do NOT replace the ingredients other than the ones she recommend.
Eye area is not a place to do experiment on.
I’m dieing to try this out but I can’t find a good quality aloevera product :-<
You can also use pure castor oil, pure almond oil or extra virgin olive oil to condition your lashes with an old clean mascara wand which must be cleaned after each use.
Plz be sure to find the best quality oils since the eye area is very sensitive & tender.
But be careful not to use a lot. Just lightly cover the lashes from root to the tip.
But don't use anyone of those conditioners under your mascara.
They (vaseline & oils ) make your mascara application messy & runny.
& btw don't use that diluting mascara with olive oil tip..8-|
Olive oil melts the mascara & stop it from drying. ![]()
You'll end up having a lot of olive oil + mascara inside your eyes the end of the day & it can irritate your eyes BIG time... :-s

I use Oriflame lash booster..It makes my lashes well conditioned, thick & long.
I use it every morning & night on my clean lashes.
Almost all the time I use waterproof mascara & they can be really harsh (make them dry & brittle) on the lashes.
So before I apply my make up I apply this lash conditioner onto my clean lashes which not only condition, prime & protect my lashes but also helps to remove the waterproof mascara in the end of the day. ![]()
& it doesn't make the mascara smudge at all.

I don't mind boys applying make up until they don't look like they are wearing make up. ![]()
A bit of concealer, tinted moisturizer, mascara or some powder (only if you have an oily skin)can make a guy look so cute =)
Btw even though you have black lashes..if you do not have black (not dark brown) hair & brows don't use a black mascara.
It looks so fake when fair guys do that. :-s
Instead use a dark brown (don't use a light brown one) mascara.
If you have a blonde or light brown hair (I doubt bcz of your avatar) use a light brown mascara for a natural effect.
If you choose the right colour for you it'll give a soft but defined look which is perfect for a guy
Just make sure you replace whatever the products (lash conditioners, mascara, oils)you use for lashes every 3-5 months for sanitary purposes.
Hope this helps
