fan belt slides out when accelerating?
i have a Cherokee classic 1996 model , and the belt slides out during accelerating and the A/C is on..
please help me figure out what is the problem.thank you.

What do you mean by “slides out?” If you mean it falls off then you likely need the belt to be tensioned properly and you may need to get the various pulleys aligned. The specs are usually in your manuals on tensioning the belts and if nothing has been changed/replaced then the pulleys are likely still aligned so just spend a few minutes with a wrench and tighten the belt to the manufacturer’s specifications.
If you don’t know what I’m talking about then take it to a mechanic.
