How to siphon gas from an ATV and dirt bike?
I think that we have old gas in our ATV and our dirt bike, we wanted to know of the best way to siphon gas from them. We were going to flip the ATV over and have it drain out the top but i didn’t know if there is an easier way to do it, and didn’t know what to do to siphon it from the dirt bike.
take the fuel line off of the petcock, put a piece of hose on it, and put it on reserve. just let it drain out. if for some reason you need to siphon it, pack a rag around the siphon hose, then blow into it very hard to build up some pressure, then release it. you never, ever, need to suck on a hose to siphon. the other answerer who suggested using air pressure is also right.
