Paladin Armor – Why The Need For Good Armor
The Paladin is one of the two classes in the World of Warcraft that is capable of wearing heavy plate armors. Heavy plated armors – it just couldn’t get better than that. They’re second only to the Warriors who actually specialize in everything heavy – armor, gears, equipment, weapons and whatnot. The Paladin armor, just like the Warriors’, can withstand massive blows from the opponents.

Paladins are actually a hybrid class. They do melee, healing, and spell casting. Any of the Paladin specs have the right combination of these talents.
As a melee fighter, the Paladins have solid tanking skills and attacks. But their lack of gears as powerful as those wielded by the fighting classes is compensated by their capacity to call on the powers of the Holy Light. That said, they need the best armors they could get since combining these two – the Holy Light and excellent gears – may prove insufficient for them to outlast the constant barrage of attacks coming from their opponents.
Remember, Paladins as a healing class, take up the primary role as a healer in any group. As a result, they always attract the constant barrage of attacks from their opponents since they are instrumental to keeping their group alive. Dead and the team where they belong stands a lower chance of withstanding attacks. Alive and the Paladin could just continue mitigating the damage received by the team as well as continue healing all of its teammates. Now, for the Paladins to be excellent tankers, they need to have the best protection. Otherwise, they’re no use to any team.
{When can Paladins get the best armors}?
The best Paladin gears and armors are only available at level 60 although lower level characters can still get their hands on some decent pre-level 60 armor sets. Generally, the armors Paladins wear are far more efficient than those worn by other classes, with the exception of course of the Warriors.

The armors worn by the Paladins come in a wide range of variety. In general, the Paladins’ armor is for soaking up damage received by character, and if in parties, of the group. Fortunately for this class, they can also equip themselves with shields in their off-hand.
