In the US Army can you wear a Boonie Hat instead of a Patrol Cap?
I am curious as to when you are allowed to sport a Boonie Hat and under what conditions? Can this cover permanently replace your patrol cap or can it only be worn in the field of battle or when deployed?
You wear whatever your unit policy says you wear the boonie is considered a seasonal item worn in the summertime under certain conditions such as only on the fob when working in an area with little or no shade, general rule is wear what your top wears
