I have been wondering for a while…?
Before I started riding english saddle, I went out and bought a pair of black breeches to start off with (since I’ve heard that is if I wore white, it would get really dirty and it would be hard to take all the dirt out). If I started showing soon (small shows) would I have to wear white or tan breeches?
Sorry, I forgot to mention that I ride Hunter/Jumper. Yes, Ill try to get tan breeches.
Tan for hunter or jumper
Grey for dressage at lower levels
White for dressage at high levels
I have been warned that judges will look down on you if you wear white in dressage before you have “earned” them.
