Bridle Headstall

Bridle Headstall
what is the difference between and headstall and a bridle for a horse?

“headstall” refers to the piece that actually goes on the horse’s head. It does not refer to the bit, the reins, the curb strap, etc. JUST the leather or nylon or baling twine used to go over the ears and down the cheeks.
“bridle” is the whole thing. Reins, headstall, curb straps, bit, slobber straps, and other assorted doodads.
