Bike components question?
I am looking at a used bike that has campagnolo components on it. The crank is from the chorus group set and the drive train and brakes are from the centaur group set. I was just wondering if this is good stuff and if possible can anyone compare it to a shamno group set for me as far as quality wise.
I tend to be of the mindset that Centaur is above Ultegra (Ultegra SL seems to be more of a styling move for 2008, we will have to see where it goes) and just below Dura-Ace. Chorus is above Dura-Ace in feel and in construction. Dura-Ace is just now getting into carbon fiber construction and Chorus has had it for a few years already. Record is the class of the world in gruppo components. I am not putting Dura-Ace or Shimano down. They are great equipment. Let’s not leave SRAM Red out either.
There just is no equal to Camapagnolo.
