Has anyone played a drum set that was made from carbon fiber?
I have played the drums for 8 years now or so I think. A lot of instrument makers (guitars, drums, orchestra instruments) are using carbon fiber, because it provides a more natural frequency and has much better resonance. Just looking for some input from someone who might have played a drum set made of carbon fiber. Does it sound better, are they physically lighter, or did they feel cheap and make you wish you were playing a set made of maple?
I’d imagine it’d be better for a snare, but for the rest of your kid wood just sounds warmer.
