on a 1972 vw beetle/bug, its starting, but its not quite turning over.?
when we turn the key to try and get it to start, it is whining and chugging, and the belt is going, but its not quite starting. gas is reaching the engine, and everything is lubricated. how come it wont turn over?
If it is popping out of the carb or exhaust, the timing is off.
No spark, hook up the coil properly and make sure all the plug wires are good.
Check the points and condensor
check the cap and rotor
