Comfort Bike

Comfort Bike
Riding a comfort bike up steep hills?

I ride a Schwinn Clear Creek comfort bike from Target. It’s 18 speed. But sometimes when I ride my bike, especially up steep hills, it sounds like the chain is slipping. Are my chain-rings too blunt? My bike is less than a week old. Should I stop riding up steep hills? Will it damage the teeth of my chain-rings?
I’m 140 pounds.. if that makes any difference.

I would take the bike back and get your money. I read the reviews and there are other people that have the same problem. Go to the local bike shop and get a real bike or order one of the Forge bikes that target sells. The Forge will only cost you another $50 or $25 if you are a AAA member and will be 3 times the quality of that Schwinn. I have a Forge Saranac and a M Street and am very happy with both of them. They are shop quality bikes on a budget.
