What is the difference between personal defense weapons and carbines?
I know that personal defense weapons(pdw) are a kind of hybrid between sub-machine guns and carbines. I also know that carbines are more compact versions of rifles. I just need more clarification on the difference between these two types of firearms.
I’ve never heard of a personal defense weapon as a specific type of firearm.By definition, such a weapon needs to be effective only at short range. That certainly doesn’t apply to a carbine.
