For example; How many calories would I burn in half an hour? (I’m not a fast runner). Does jogging burn a lot less calories than running?
Depends how much you weigh.
The more you weigh, the more calories you will burn.
Assuming you’re about 150, if you jog at about 5mph, you’d burn 288 calories.
If you run at 6mph, you’d burn 342.
So to answer your second question, jogging does burn less, but not that much, depending on how fast you consider jogging.
Also, cycling at a leisurely pace, you’d burn about 360, and cycling at about 12-14mph, you’d burn approximately 495. (Again, this is at the estimated weight, the more you weigh, the more you will burn).
