What are some good quality, low-priced cycling shorts?
My commute is about 5 miles each way about 3 times a week… I want something that is breathable, easy to move in and protective of my butt.
At such a short commute, I don’t think that you really need cycling specific shorts. In my opinion, chaffing, wicking of sweat, and general sitting discomfort don’t really come in to play at such a short (sub 1/2 hour ride). You will find that buying cycling specific shorts will really add up, as you wear them only once and have to wash them to be sanitary. Save your money on a softer seat if it bothers you and wear street clothes on your commute.
