I’m running a suntour 12t fixed cog with a dura-ace lockring and my chain makes an odd sound?
any ideas where the noise is originating from?
its a leader mordecai frame
this is my drivetrain
-1/8th inch mid bb
-19mm 48 spline spindle
-1/8th inch 165mm splined cranks
-30t splined treelite sprocket
-kmc hollow pin chain
-12tsuntour fixed cog
-dura-ace lockring
odd sound like the chain is rubbing or something
keep in mind all parts are brand new and proffessionally installed with real tools
so it turned out to be, when you have a 12t cog, you need a special slotted lockring or the chain doesnt go all the way down on the cog…it sounded like the chain was rough, im just going to use a 13t cog so i dont have to get a special lockring
Try this site. Make sure you are not using a 3/32 inch chain, the ones for BMX are hollow slotted.
