Hunt seat jacket and breech sizes?
I have no idea what size breeches, and jacket I need for my hunt seat clothes. I’m getting them for christmas, and need to order them now, because shipping is so slow.
I regularly wear a medium-large in ladies shirts, and wear size 7 jeans.
I’m only 4’10 so I need nice, good fitting breeches. I’m getting them off of horseloverz.com
and the sizes are so weird!
here is the jacket link.

and here is the breech link

Please look at the sizes, and try and see what size you think i would be in. I want them a little loose so I can be comfortable.
Thanks!
Breeches are sold by waist size…so grab a tape measure and have some one measure your waist. I usually go up one size for cotton breeches because they tend to shrink after washing. The more expensive breech brand offer “short” lengths as well. Tailored sportsman and Ariat are the best. Breeches should not be skin tight, look at how they fit the models in catalogs (such as Dover’s).
Jackets are sized differently by each manufacturer. For example, I wear a 10R in Grand Prix Coats and a 0T in RJ Classics. So you really have to know your measurements and look at the size chart or go to a tack store to try one on. Try googling “Equi-Royal jacket size chart” or something like that. Should point you to the manufacturers website. Jackets should be close fitting, especially around the mid-section. The end of the sleeve should come to your wrist bone when your elbows are bent. Also, the jacket should be long enough to cover you butt, but not so long you are sitting on it in the saddle (again, look at magazine models)
