It all depends If they are Full or Not full with oxygen when they die. When They are They float up to the top
Because The fish can No longer Control there Swim Bladder to stay at the bottom of the aquarium. At death. THey fill up With air and they will float to the top and have no Buyoancy Anymore.
And. when they have no oxygen. they cant float up to the top.
