Does anyone know how much the fine is for fishing with barbed hooks in barbless waters in California?
I received a citation for fishing with a barbed fishing lure in the American River and would like to know how much the fine is.
A hell of a lot more than what a barbless hook would’ve cost…
I Googled it and came up with several answers.
1) $50.
2) $100.
3) $150.
4) $275.
5) $500.
6) $1500.
Best thing to do is go to court and find out for yourself. Maybe even look on the ticket.
