With the latest Bond film, Quantum of Solace, being released recently, here are some great spy gadgets that will satisfy anyones spy fantasies. Unfortunately they don’t come cheap.
Land Rover Defender 10 (£67,850) – This car may not look wonderful, however, it could take a punch, or well anything you want to throw at it really. The 4×4 beast of a car has armour plating on the sides, front and rear all capable of withstanding 5.56 mm and also 7.62mm gun rounds. Plus with bullet proof glass as standard you can be sure that you won’t be shot on the school run. If you’re concerned about the odd mine or grenade damaging your car, there’s nothing to worry about as the bottom of the car can protect you from both.
Tornado Night Vision Goggles Generation 2 + (£3,162.50) – Although they may cost a little bit more than any other goggles you have bought before, these ones will prevent you from falling over things in the night. These goggles come with 2 eye pieces and one night vision tube, they really are state of the art. Also, if you fancy zooming in, there are different lenses available. All this can run on the power of 2 AA batteries and it comes with a bag to keep it in.
Taser C2 (£248) – This one is for non UK residents really as it is illegal in the UK, unless you’re a policeman. The Taser C2 is a non lethal weapon that allows you to stun your target by firing a C2 cartridge which will zap the target. The whole thing fits in your pocket with it’s powerful lithium battery which can manage up to 50 zaps.
Spy Camera Glasses (£89.99) – Some covert cameras now, they are normal sun glasses, however, these come with a 1.3 megapixel camera built in. The glasses also include 1gb of RAM allowing you to take up to 1,000 photos. That’s not all, the glasses also come with a remote control so you can take a photo without even holding the glasses, and also amazingly the glasses have built in earphones so you can listen to your favorite music while getting some secret snaps.
All these gadgets are must haves for any James Bond wannabes. The only down side is that you won’t look like James Bond while driving the Land Rover.
