Are there other alternatives to remove/hide scratches on a gun barrel besides using a blueing kit?
You can try using 0000 or 00000 bronze (brass) or steel wool if you can find it. This is very fine brass wool for polishing metal or wood with minimal abrasion and touching up with your bluing kit.
