Where can I find an Inexpensive Full Metal Steyr AUG Airsoft gun?
I’m looking for a full metal Steyr AUG airsoft gun. I don’t mind if all the airsoft internals are missing as I plan on installing a paintball gun inside.
I would prefer full metal as it will see a lot of abuse, being practically thrown around as well as me landing on it.
Barrel and flash suppressor is not a problem as you can easily get paintball versions.
The mod has been done to cheap plastic body AUG’s and others before without sacrificing looks.
There would have to be significant modifications done to both.
You realise the real AUG is made of plastic right?

The BE AUG is cheaper, but the bodywork and the quality of the metal parts is appalling.
If you want quality externals, the CA AUG is by far the best, and the only one to have the proper Steyr Mannlicher markings.
I dread to think what a poor AUG would look like with a paintball gun shoehorned into it! You’ll probably need to replace the entire outer barrel as it’s internal diameter could well be smaller than a 13mm paintball. (I’m not taking mine apart just to measure! 
) Also the flash hider is definitely too small to allow a paintball to pass through it.
EDIT: to clarify, there is no such thing as a full metal AUG. The bulk of the gun (both real and airsoft) is moulded plastic, with only the upper reciever and barrel in metal.
As for durability, the AUG has the reputation of being possibly the most rugged AEG available, precisely becuase of the strength of the rugged plastic body (as opposed to the plastic bodies of the AEG’s mimicking much more slender metal guns, which tend to be rather frail). Believe me, my AUG’s take a hammering when I’m playing – I make a point of not buying easily broken guns!
