The best guide for new starters to train in Runescape
This guide is which I collected for new players who just new to play in Runescape ,an hope taht they can get a few levels along the way.
Account Creation
If you are reading this guide, it is likely you already have an account… But for those who don’t, please go to http://www.runescape.com and click the huge PLAY NOW button, once the game loads, simply click “Create Account Now” And follow the on screen instructions.
Tutorial
There isn’t much to say about the tutorial, just do as the game says, and get through it one step at a time. The new tutorial for RuneScape is very high grade, and I believe that if you got to this guide, then you will have no problem with the tutorial.
Beginning your Journey!
Now comes the “fun” part… The first few levels.
The first thing you will want to do is run around and check things out, but don’t do that! First head over to the General Store. It is easy enough to find, so I will not explain that part here. Get the freebies in the shop, and then head south on the road. Find “Bob’s Axe Shop” and get the free Bronze Hatchet and Bronze Pickaxe from him, now you have a little bit of a choice: Mining and Smithing, or Woodcutting and Firemaking? Why are you supposed to start out with these two skills? Woodcutting is very useful for making money, and you will have to level all of these skills before long for quest requirements, but we won’t get into that stuff yet..
I highly suggest going with Woodcutting first, as it is the faster skill to level, and if you keep your tinderbox with you, you will never have to worry about going to the bank, as you can just burn the logs you cut.
Woodcutting and Firemaking
The best place to start out is right behind Lumbridge Castle. Easiest way to explain it to someone who doesn’t understand is, go back to the General Store, and head west. There are plenty of Trees back there, and just keep cutting trees and burning the logs until you get to about 20 Woodcutting and 20 Firemaking. It is alright if you keep going after you get to 20, but I have found that the experience will be better at Oak Trees. More on that later…
Mining and Smithing
From Bob’s Axe Shop, go east into the Graveyard and then follow the path south. Stay on the path until you see some rocks that have grey lines in them, and near there are some Copper ores, which have a dark tan color to them. Mine an equal number of each ore, Tin ore and Copper ore, and then head back up north. After you pass the Castle and Church you will see a musician, you can stop here for a minute if you want. You can right click the Musician and select the “Listen to” option which will restore your run energy. A little north of there still, there is a building with a Furnace in it. That furnace is where you will be training your Smithing. Click on the ore in your inventory and then click the Furnace, this will bring up a menu for Smelting Bronze Bars. Click on the image that says “Bronze Bars” and wait until your character is done. After that, use a Bronze Bar on the Anvil nearby. It is just a couple of steps from you while you are smelting. If you do not have a hammer, head over to the nearby General Store to get one. Smith anything you choose, and then sell it all to the General Store. Once you get to Smithing level 18 you will be able to make Bronze Platebody. Get the ores as you have been, and make a full set of armor for yourself… Bronze Platebody… Bronze Platelegs…. Bronze Full Helm… Bronze Kiteshield… And a weapon of your choice.
