If i do use a 22LR to hunt coyotes, how high should the muzzle velocity be?
I’ve got a 17HMR, but cant afford the ammo… i just bought a box of Federal High Velocity cartridges. the velocity of these bullets are 1260 fps at the muzzle and 1000 fps at 100 yards. would these work to kill a coyote at 30-50 yards if shot from a Henry Specialty lever action rifle and if the shot was placed right? if not please list some shells that may work. thanks
if want to keep the coyote youll be disappointed,, generly run off,,not always,,killing yes ,,no difference than snaring,or foot holds either choke down or hammer kill,,,, preachin humane an coyotes,, if feel bad about it go fishin//get shot from one end to other with everything, use lrs forget,, lt. wts an hollows
