How can i teach my halter horse to square?
like how to teach her nd what command to give her to square her feet up? like i heard ppl step on ther feet but iv tried that nd either i cant do it or she doesnt care lol but like can someone give me step-by-steo or som ething please? like i kinda can get my mare to but i dont know how to get a singal for he rot do it on command. thank you – Erica
Stand in front, facing the horse 2′ – 3′ away. Say “step” while you take a step to the side (the direction of the foot you want moved). step backwards to ask her to come toward you, toward her for her to back, saying “step” (whoa when appropriate) each time you want her to move her feet.
The “step on ther (their) feet” I’ve seen were at QH shows, looked rather amateurish to me.
