Seriously, Why Is Poker On ESPN?
I’m seeing it more & more recently…WTF!? no sport should include sitting on your butt wearing sunglasses or a cowboy hat.
and the same goes for hunting, fishing and nascar.
I would have to agree. To me (and I think you as well), “sport” requires at least some level of athletics. Sport is more then just playing a competitive “game”. Pool/darts/bowling/marksmanship, etc are others that come to mind.
Funny fact: Back in 2002, the IOC was quietly petitioned to admit ‘Poker’ as a competitive sport into the 2004 Summer games. Thankfully the IOC rejected the application (unanimously).
