What type of lantern is best for camping?
We will be staying in campgrounds which should have a bit of light so doesnt have to be super powerful. Would we be better off with a kerosine lamp or something like that or a battery/car charge lamp? Or any other ideas?

I use to always carry a gas ’tilly’ lantern and still do on some trips as they are good for throwing out a fair bit of light in all directions. But if you get hold of one the lights that has a whole cluster of LED’s (like dozens) and runs on at least C size batteries so that they last, that would be better. I have seen these in camping stores and thought they were a good idea, as with a gas tilly lantern you have to make sure the bottle is full, the lantern glass can be easily broken etc.
