I have a picture of an ancestor that’s wearing a lapel pin from the 1910s, how can I identify it?
He was a Hungarian Catholic immigrant to Pittsburgh PA. What sources online can I consult to check out different pictures of old ethnic/religious organization pins/emblems they had so I could possibly identify it?
Yahoo Image search has 30 listings for Hungarian organization pins.
There is also an organization founded in 1906 in Cleveland, Ohio called the AMERICAN HUNGARIAN FEDERATION. Whether or not it has/had a branch in Pittsburgh, I can’t say. You might contact them (http://www.americanhungarianfederation.org/about.htm). Their logo at the top right of their homepage could be possibly used as a lapel pin.
