Could a Chemical Oxygen Iodine Laser work in outer space?
I’ve read that the COIL could be an aircraft mounted laser that would be used as a weapon that would result in very little collateral damage. If a certain type of small attack or fighter spacecraft were to be constructed in the future, would a COIL be able to be used in outer space as an effective weapon?
