Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath = the british juggernaut legendary heavyrock bands were hated by the music media?
the press liked some boring junkies like beatles, stones, spiders from mars, who, the police

The Beatles musically had less to do with Deep Purple, Black Sabbath & Led Zeppelin
Purple = a classical musical root (from Bach, Mozart, Beethoven classical elements) with their bluesy hardrock guitar & noisy keyboard sound
Zeppelin = a celtic traditional root, the black american classic blues with their Hard hitting Rock-Riffs
Black Sabbath = founder of heavy metal Guitar-Riffs
beatles never done those elements above intensively. They played mostly the 60´s beat rock
All I know, for Black Sabbath, since Ozzy was in that band before, he was titled and still titled the Prince of Darkness. So, that could probably explain why they were disliked by the press and all that. Since, they sang songs having to deal with the Devil, like AC/DC’s Highway To Hell and Van Halen’s Running With The Devil.
Out of all of those, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple..
I like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple, don’t get me wrong Led Zeppelin is ok. But I just love Ozzy and Black Sabbath, and Deep Purple more.
As for bands like The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, they had more conflicts with things of society, and the whole thing with Yoko Ono with John Lennon. And also, Mick Jagger from The Rolling Stones. Personally, I don’t know whats fascinating with Mick Jagger, but maybe that’s just me. Haha.
