How do I check availability of a personalized license plate?
Is it possible to find out if anyone has the personalized license plate that you want?
I live in South Carolina and I want to buy a personalized license plate. Is there any way I can find out if the one I want is available? Or do I have to just send it in and hope for the best?
If you know where I can check the availability of license plates please let me know

Many state DMV offices have an online checker, but SC doesn’t appear to be one of them. You can call the SCDMV’s Personalized Plate Unit at (803) 896-9638 and ask.
