A question about combining lures with live bait?
when lure fishing with spinners for perch, could I increase my chances of catching by putting one or more live worms on the treble hook?
Has anyone used this technique before, combining lures with live bait?
Grand Master Basser: I live in the UK so I’m not really familiar with crappie jigs, our main predatory species are pike, perch, chub and zander. Is a crappie jig essentially a dressed jig head?
If you consider combining a mealworm and a crappie jig, then yes, I’ve done it.
As far as on a spinner, NO. Adding a nightcrawler to one of those will throw off the action and make it twist the hell out of your line.
