Can I use a western blanket under an english saddle?
I’m just starting to get into the whole english scene, and I was just wondering if I could use a western saddle blanket under my english saddle. As far as I know, my saddle fits my mare pretty well, she doesn’t seem uncomfortable. But I use my western pad (A Pro Choice Charmayne James SMX Air Ride) under it, and apparently doing so can influence saddle fit. She seems like she’s fine, but she’s already got a sensitive back, and I don’t want to hurt her in the long run. I don’t want to go out and blindly buy an english pad, so would using a blanket be alright for now?
*This is the blanket i’m talking about:

Oh yes of course! You can use any pad under any saddle! it might not look professional, or proper, but it does the exact same thing
Some people might give me a thumbs down cause i said that, but its perfectly fine
And western pads are comfy anyway

P.S. Except for english saddle pads that are in the shape on and english saddle! lol! Can’t use those on a western saddle!
P.S.S. Have you ever tryed Lolly Pop Pads? They might help cousion you mares back a little. I know they are for if your saddle isn’t upright enough, but i did that for my horse.
