Springfield 1911 45ACP GI Mil-Spec Compact opinion?
I am thinking about buying one for conceal carry. (I have experience with 45′s and compact guns so that is not an issue)
Two questions:
1. Do you own or have you fired one and whats your opinion?
2. Three dealers have told me they can’t get one for me, I’m wondering why? They say the gun isn’t available to order.

Fantastic gun. Though you will have some people who say locked and c*cked is not the way to go. 1911 is still the fastest most acccurate first shot gun around. The mil-spec is the lower end of price for the Springfield and may be completely on backorder and they are not taking new orders. My dad has the Mil-Spec, I have the loaded model.
