How do I get a 555 timer to work in monostable mode?
I’m just trying to create a simple circuit such that when I press a push button, an LED lights up for a short period of time and then doesn’t light again until the next time I press the button. Yes, I need it to be done with a 555 timer in monostable mode for my assignment. I have looked at various diagrams, all telling me different things and none of them working.
Well, here is another http://www.technologystudent.com/elec1/5554.htm with a moving button, etc. The things to notice are that pin 2 is pulled up to the supply voltage by a resister and the button forces that voltage down to 0 to start the period. You would replace the buzzer with an LED and appropriate resister.
