is armor piercing rounds in the 7.62X54r Mosin Nagant rifle a good choice for home defense?
hello, i was thinking of using my Mosin Nagant for personal home defense. I have realized that lately in my neighbor hood there has been alotta robberies. all i have for it is armor piercing rounds. I like this gun better than my 12 gauge pump because it is smaller and seems to be more reliable. is this a smart thing to do? will armor piercing rounds actually kill or put a small hole through someone? thanks any tips?

Until you learn a LOT more about firearms then you really should defend yourself with a big dog and a baseball bat. Armor piercing rounds can kill a bunch of people in your neighborhood… I mean one fired round can rack up one Hell of a body count. Most, if not all of them, will be innocent people minding their own business.
Try to grasp this concept. If the round will penetrate military armor then how many tank tops… how many hoodies… how many t-shirts will it take to stop it? How many people will you perforate before that bullet stops moving?
If you use those rounds you’re more of a threat to the community than the criminals you’re talking about.
I’ll go one step farther. With that rifle and those rounds in your possession…. coupled with your total and complete lack of knowledge of that equipment…. then you are the principal menace in your neighborhood. YOU are the one the neighbors need to be afraid of.
I swear to God… I’m beginning to wish they would have just destroyed those rifles instead of selling them for a price any moron could afford.
