Ninja Throwing

Ninja Throwing
How can I plan my six year old’s ninja warrior birthday party?

My son will be turning 6 in August. He loves the show ninja warrior and often practices his own version of the show at the local park. I would love to throw him a ninja warrior party…maybe with our own version of the obstacle course. I just need some ideas of how create it so that it would be fun for the kids to do and a little challenging.

In no particular order:
1) Get hula hoops and tie them so they hang down from the trees, they will need to jump through them.
2) A sponge race. Get some large buckets of water and some smallish empty ones. Set them a few yards apart. Put a large sponge in each of the large buckets of water. The kids have to get the sponge soaked and run back and forth between the large and the small buckets and fill it up before they can move to the next obstacle.
3) Under a table, tape LOTS of balloons that are tied to different lengths of yarn. Have them go under the table (long ways).
4) At one stop point, kids are handed 3 sheets of newspaper. They must place one sheet down before taking a step. Place paper, step with right foot. Place paper, step with left. Place paper step with right. Pick up paper place in front for your next right foot step and so on.

You can make large cookies and decorate them with yellow stars and tie on a a piece of string or yarn for “gold medals” for all the kids.
