What is a good beginers electric drum set?
I’m thinking about getting into drums, but i want to be able to practice with headphones to not bother the nieghbors.
What is a good electric drum set for someone who knows almost nothing about drums? My primary concern is getting the cheapest set i can get, as any bells and whistles will be waisted on me.
I’m looking for an electric “drum set” (something that looks like a real drum set) and not a “drum pad set” (something that looks like a synth with drum pads).
Thanks
Roland electronic drums are the absolute best in regards to ‘feeling’ like the real thing and triggering like the real thing.
And yes, the price is by far, the highest.
But like anything, you get what you pay for.
Look at the TD-12S or the TD-20. If you can tolerate the small pads on the TD-12s, go for it. Otherwise, get the TD-20.
There are some kits out there at combine Roland’s superior pads with a different brand’s brain. Pintech comes to mind. Again, you get what you pay for.
Most Pintech owners I talk to end up upgrading to a Roland brain, or wish they had just bought a Roland in the first place.
