Can I wear grey dress pants with a black jacket and tie to a semi-formal dinner party?
I have to attend a semi-formal dinner party this weekend and I have a nice black jacket. I have black pants also, but they aren’t the same brand and I’m worried they might stand out from each other in the light. I bought some nice darker grey dress pants and I’m wondering if this would be acceptable to wear with a skinny black tie and a red button-up collared shirt.
I think it would look really nice 
I say the darker gray pants are a smart way to go b/c it never looks right when people mix brands and are wearing to different shades of black.
