Hunters Para Ordnance P-14?

how do you guys rate this gun?

They are ham-handled–their double stack feels like the widest and most box-like of any I have handled. I’m 6’3″ and large framed so I tend to think many people much smaller than me will really find it large. I owned a Para 14.45 and still own a Para LTC single stack. It shoots well and I even thought that the 14.45 was well made but I just couldn’t get comfortable with the grip. I kept it for about a year then sold it. I don’t miss it but I don’t disdain it. If you haven’t handled one, make sure that the grip works for you before you get one (as some people will order through the internet sight unseen for some reason). They are both loved and hated equally, picked on for being cast more than anything. For an example, read the debate in this forum: http://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=59594.

BTW, Todd Jarrett is no longer with Para (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Todd-Jarre… He started his own company in cooperation with Yankee Hill (http://yankeehillmachine.com/store/produ… He was at the NRA representing Blackhawk. His company is Strike Force Mfg. (http://www.toddjarrett.com/products-fire… You can run into him time to time at our local gun store and he’s as great a guy in person as he appears to be on TV or at shows. I’ve seen more than one case where he personally represented a local gun owner to Para and had them treated like royalty. I don’t need another AR, but I’m very seriously thinking about buying his YHM branded 6.8mm.
