BMX HELP! i need help on pivotal seats!!!?
i got a new bike and it has a pivotal seat. how do u tilt it up?? i know u need a nut but i have no idea how to loosen it and tilt it..
Also i have another problem. whenever i do a bunny hop or something my handlebars keep sipping and they go on like a 45 degree angle. i tried to tighten the stem but it still slips. do u think the stem is to greased up, or what??
1) Well usually pivotal seats will have a small slit on top of the seat. I believe that is where you stick and Allen key in and loosen the bolt. This will then allow you to tilt it. The slit is probably too small to see through so you have to guess where and what size to put the allen key in (unless there is another way).
2) My guess is your bars are probably to smooth. Try sanding a bit of the paint off (but not all) on the bar where the stem clamps. This will make the surface rough which will probably get a better grip on. If this still doesn’t work, maybe new bar/stem?
