Batman And Robin: How To Be A Superhero
There are so many impressive superhero characters that have been created by the writers at Marvel Comics. I used to be an avid reader of many of them when I was a child. Those writers surely have a very vivid imagination.
Who is your favorite superhero? One of mine is Batman, the Caped Crusader, also known as the Dark Knight or even the “Bat”. He is the protector of Gotham City. Any criminals had better beware: he will be on their case along with his trusty companion Robin, the Boy Wonder. Have you ever dreamt of being a superhero like Batman or Superman? I certainly did when I was a kid. Regardless of your age or sex, you too can become a fighter of crime wearing one of the fantastic Batman and Robin costumes available.
Batman’s suit was manufactured to give the impression of being like a bat. This was to frighten the criminals. Batman’s cape has a scalloped hem which represents the bat’s wings and wears a mask with bat-like ears. Over his suit he wears a dark pair of briefs. Most generally his costume is a blue and grey color and his utility belt is yellow. However, he has a bluish purple and grey outfit in the 1960s television series. Batman’s suit in the movies is a menacing black.
In the film series Robin takes to wearing a similar suit to Batman but in the comics he always wears yellow, red and green In some ways his costume has a medieval appearance about it and this is because the original costume was inspired by Robin’s namesake, Robin Hood. You have two choices if you would like to dress as the Boy Wonder: red tunic, green spandex briefs, yellow cape, yellow utility belt, green boots and gloves, or you can wear black as in the later movies.
That’s the suit sorted, but you can’t be Batman or Robin without some gadgets to go along with the suit. He has a well stocked utility belt, worn around his waist, which includes some very interesting weapons such as a batarang, bat lasso, bat handcuffs, bat goo gun, bat light and night vision goggles amongst many others. The last thing you need is a bat vehicle to get around in and there are a lot to choose from. The vehicle Batman uses most is his Batmobile with its bat-like tail fins. If you’re thinking of venturing into water, what about a bat boat or a bat submarine?
If you are creative and handy with a needle and thread, you could make an effort to make your own Batman and Robin costumes.
