How does the remote control of H50 Sony camera work?
The sensor of the remote control is in front of the camera, but I think that is dificult to control the functions of the camera. I need to control the camera behind the camera. Please help me. Thanks
This may not help: I’ve just bought this camera. I set it up on a tripod, focussed in on a bird feeder and tried to take a shot from behind the glass of the back door. No luck, not even when less than a metre away.
What an opportunity Sony have lost by not adding the reception and signal strength to do this.
Edit: I made this bodge with folded baking foil, held in place by a rubber band, to reflect remote signals from behind. It works!!! From several metres, through glass.

It looks naff but, when you’re finished, just rip it off and make a new one next time.
