What’s the best ring to use for the first couple weeks of a piercing?
I’m thinking of getting my lip pierced by my friend

I was just wondering for the first couple weeks could I just use a clear bar/stud and no ring?
I can’t have a ring for my job so using a clear stud will camouflage it a bit
I would use a surgical steel labret stud -probably a 16 or 18 gauge, rather than a ring or a clear stud.
I understand your predicament regarding the use of a clear on, but most clear studs are plastic, which would not be a good idea until the piercing has healed in a few weeks. You can always put a small band-aid over the visible part of the stud until it has healed to a point where you can use plastic. If anybody questions it, just tell them that you have a zit, an open wound, or something like that, that you are wanting to keep protected and disguised from clients (I’m assuming that relations w/ customers is the reason that your boss doesn’t want you to wear a ring). I don’t see why anyone would question you if you tell them that.
