How far is king cross station to circular quay or the royal botanic garden, sydney?
Hi. I want to backpack in Sydney and plan to stay in King Cross area. How far is it to walk from King Cross station to places like the rocks, sydney harbour, opera house and etc? How long it takes to travel by foot and train?
Thanks!

You need to enter directions from “Macleay Street, Kings Cross” to “Argyle Street, The Rocks” to get the right perspective. The Rocks is the furthest distance in the Circular Quay area(Harbour, Opera House etc) that you would need to walk to. Should take about an hour (about 2kms).
It should only take 1/2 hour by foot to the centre of the city.
Bear in mind that the walk from Kings Cross to anywhere in the City will be an interesting one, with plenty to see along the way…and there are always trains or busses if your feet get sore!

You can use the trip planner here to search “Kings Cross Station” to “Circular quay station” for information on how to get there using public transport. (Should only take about 15 mins)
Dont forget to take a ferry ride to Manly and back again while you are here.
Kings Cross can be a little seedy at times, take a little care – the nightlife is fabulous.
Have a great time!
