Trijicon Sights For Military, Hunting And Competitive Shooting
The British Army wanted an optical slighting solution for their new LMT L129A1 Sharpshooter rifles and turned to Trijicon for a solution. The ACOG 6X48 was revised to include an MIL-STD 1913 rail over its objective lens housing. The British Army specified the Trijicon Rugged Miniaturized Reflex sight to mount on this providing and instantly available close range sighting option. The TA648 comes in 5.56X45, 7.62X51 and 12.7X99 flavours. The 7.62 version is calibrated to 1200 meters and the 5.56 to 800 meters. The aiming chevron can be either red, amber or green. You can also have a horseshoe and red dot reticle with a ladder for ranging. The 6X48 ACOG mounts to the flat-top with a TA75 mount enabling relatively quick detach and return to zero. The 100 meter depth limit gives you an idea of the strength of this sight. There are no electronics or batteries to let you down.
The Trijicon Accupoint range are intended for recreational shooters and offers performance with light weight compared to the ACOG range. The Trijicon TR24 Trijicon Accupoint 1-4X24 is designed specifically for three gun competitions and similar action disciplines and for big game hunting. The action shooting option comes with a post reticle surmounted by a red, green or amber triangle. Big game hunters will appreciate the German No. 4 reticle with its illuminated center dot. This sight is designed to deliver the same 3.2″ eye relief regardless of magnification meaning you can keep your shooting position constant as you crank the magnification up and down.
The Trijicon Accupoint 1.25-4X24 is a less highly specified option, doing away with the perfect unitary power and constant eye relief and employing a non parallel 1″ tube. It is shorter and lighter in weight which will be a boon to hunters. The scopes use traditional one quarter inch clicks and are waterproof down to ten meters which is deeper than most hunters ever take their rifles.
