I just installed a new torque converter in my truck. And now it won’t roll in reverse. What could be wrong?
I set the shifter to N or R and try to push it, but it only moves a few inches. It’s almost as if the brakes were set, but they aren’t. And it makes a clunk noise from the rearend at the same time. The converter is not connected to the motor yet, it’s just mocked up for fitting purposes. I can push the truck forward, but not backwards.
either the rear brakes are locked up or the differential is junk
