Do all Navy issue civilian style glasses have shatter proof lenses?
I chose a pair of glasses and I was wondering if anyone knew if the lenses are shatter proof. I’m not talking about the BCG’s, but rather the civilian style glasses that you get to chose after boot camp. I want to use them when I go shooting rather than switch to normal safety glasses or buy Rx shooting glasses.
They’re not, but they do fine for the range. I wear my Navy issue glasses when I go on the range rather than my civilian ones I bought. (frameless) Mostly because one cost me $300 and the other was free and more durable…
