If stainless steel water bottles are harmless to human health and can be used for a lifetime…why were Nalgene bottles even created? Why are all water bottles PLASTIC and why are stainless steel ones so hard to find in stores? It doesn’t make any sense!
Because plastic is cheaper and easier to make than to melt metal and mold it into shapes. Plus plastic retains its shape better than metal. When a plastic water bottle is dropped, unless it is from a several story building, it will retain its shape. A metal water bottle will dent and become deformed. Plastic is as harmful to your health as steel is anyway.
