Would you get a Blenheim or ruby or tri-color Cavalier ?
i mean i was told that Blenheim wait for 3 or 4 years to get their Ears long but tri colors only 1 year ? i mean i love there ears short at the same time Tri -color has such wonderful color so is ruby when do rubies get their ears long – - is there different temperament between those colors .. please tell me everything you about them ? Thanksssssssss So much – thanks again
I don’t understand your question. They’re ALL Cavalier King Charles spaniels – which means that barring individual lines and genetics, they’ll ALL grow the same way.
Whomever fed you that bullsh*t about the ear hair growing faster in a tricolor is an ignorant @ss.
The ONLY speck of truth I’ve heard concerning coat color and temperament in dogs is that chocolate labradors tend to be less focused than black and yellow labradors, hence you rarely see them as guide dogs. That being said, plenty of hunters use chocolates, so that is in no way substantiated.
Do you HAVE a Cavalier? Or are you just hoping to get one? Be aware that they are a walking veterinary bill and are a seriously sick breed – just look over this website: http://cavalierhealth.org/ There are close to a dozen serious degenerative diseases that nearly all Cavaliers in existence today carry. This is NOT a breed that you get from a pet shop or someone who advertises in the newspaper – you NEED to go through a responsible breeder who performs ALL necessary genetic health screening, and furthermore shows their dogs to ensure that they are breeding to standard. This may not sound important to you – it rarely does to neophytes – but better safe than sorry; sorry being that you end up with a kinda-spaniel-looking dog with a poor coat that needs a double hip replacement before its 1st birthday and develops aggressive seizures by its 3rd birthday.
